Hello friends, what's happening? I cannot believe Halloween is almost here! That just means a few [and a few more] months till Andre's home! Here are some recent photos...

Kael's first field trip ever! To the fire station.

He was pretty much in awe the whole time.
I just stayed at the fire station pretty much the whole day because Kael's class came first and then Ava's class was afterwards. Both tours were pretty different so it was cool. Is it just me or does the fireman in the pic below look like Mario's (yes, as in Super Mario) son?

Pretty pretty girl
Last Friday we went to poplar grove for their annual Halloween festival. It was fun, but I'm not sure we'll go back next year. It was pretty pricey for a little fun.

Even though I'm still really uncomfortable with how I look I decided I needed to start being in more pictures with the kids. I don't want them looking back wondering where I was while they were growing up.

So the kids have been better & better about trying new things. I got some meat on sale [roasted rack of lamb] and wasn't sure if they would really like it. The recipe was *amazing* and I made risotto and roasted asparagus. Ava loved the lamb, Kael liked it ok (but he doesn't really eat meat), and they both liked the risotto and asparagus. Anyway the pic looks pretty gross but it was good, I promise.
Here is the recipe if you're interested; it's super easy.
Thanks for joining folks, until next time, good morning, good evening, and good night.
