Happy Bday to Kael

So this past Saturday (6/23) was Ava's 4th birthday and on Monday (6/25) was Kael's 3rd birthday. I'm waiting to get Ava's pics back so I thought I would go ahead and write about Kaels so I don't get too far behind!

Anyway we didn't really do anything all that special for Kael's bday. I had planned this relaxed day at the beach, then coming home and having dinner & dessert but of course, nothing ever goes as planned. Instead we spent the day running errands and at the doctors (Ava has 2 ear infections). Kael was such a trooper about it though. Actually he seemed fairly oblivious to it all. He chose to have hot dogs for dinner [what a delicious choice] and then after dinner we had just a few friends over to help sing him happy birthday and enjoy cupcakes with us. I made cookie sheet cake aka texas sheet cake cupcakes and they were all laden with some kind of superhero. I think it was my son's dream come true. The kids got some blankets as presents from their "grandma" (alias is Kathy Wells) and they spent the night tying them around their necks and flying around.

Anyway I am happy their birthdays are over! John has lacrosse camp this week and then we are (hopefully) headed to VA for the 4th!

Comeback June 2012

So it's pretty much been forever since I've updated the blogeroo...so this month we'll make a comeback! We've had loads of birthdays and summer things, and camps, and even more to come!

John turned 16 on the 12th. He had a birthday party at hugh mcrae park and they played volleyball, capture the flag, and I just hung out in the background playing it cool (apparently it is no longer cool at that age to take an active part in the party). I bought way too much pizza and cake because I forgot teeange girls don't eat anything in front of people so they all refused to eat. Weird, I don't think I was ever shy about eating, I always loved food way too much and still do!

Ava's birthday was yesterday, she turned 4! As soon as I get the pictures I will be uploading tons of those. It was super fun and we were so exhausted by the end of it all. And now Kael turns 3 tomorrow!

The only things I have pictures of that have happened recently is Ava's end of school party at the park. I was a parent volunteer and it was so fun! It was blazing hot though and after a while I could tell Ava was just ready to go. Her favorite thing was the scooter followed by the hot dogs.
