Moving Day 2015

We have moved! Frankly it was long overdue. Our apartment was great, especially when Andre was deployed but being in a house is so much better! We just moved to Leland which is just across the bridge. The kids are still at the same school but we have switched wards (which was very sad). We will go to our new ward for the first time this Sunday.

Usually I stay up all night long unpacking if I have to. I cannot stand boxes sitting around and things out of place. Life just doesn't slow down enough though. There are field trips to go on, volunteering in classrooms (and Spanish!), errands to run, swim team, baseball, soccer, piano, ballet, tap, hip-hop...you get my point right? Needless to say I am exhausted every night and there are still boxes everywhere!

I did snag a couple of pictures this morning though as I was making breakfast. I was actually in the middle of frying up some bacon and yelled at Andre to grab my camera. I really wanted a good picture of this beautiful cardinal eating from the bird feeder in our backyard. I did not get close enough.

The Cardinal is on the ground

I have no idea what kind of bird this is.

This is the view of our backyard

Have you met our friend Apple? She is not liking this move at all.

I was trying to sneak up on this little guy but he flew away.

I think my tomato plants are my favorite plants. I can't wait to eat these!

Just a random picture of our tree

Then I opened the front door and saw this hot guy. I hope he comes by often.
Hopefully soon we will be more unpacked and I will post some pictures of the inside of this Casa de Trochez. Come visit!

Ukulele

Kael has been taking ukulele lessons the past 6 weeks and at the end his ukulele instructor invited all his students to come and perform. They could also do an "Open Mic" thing if they wanted and they all got a kukui nut lei. It was awesome! Of course the SECOND he opened it for open mic Kael went blazing up there. I am always so amazed at how confident he is. The room was packed! Literally, at least 60-75 people. He didn't hesitate at all, he just got up there and sang a song he had written.

He begged me to go up again and again, he seriously loves performing. I guess that's why he bears his testimony every single fast Sunday.

Solo!

As he was walking back down the isle people were so kind- they were high-fiving him and complimenting him. He just kept this little smirk on his face and said in a very macho way, "Thanks."

Farewell Ukulele Academy! Well, unless we do lessons again.
